The breecon GmbH is your partner for the discovery of genetic diversity and for genotyping. The company uses the technological platforms, i.e. the TILLING technology to analyze the genetic diversity in model and in cultivated plants. The TILLING technology offers, in comparison to other techniques, a number of unique advantages, like

• the production of new modifications in almost all cultivated plants
• the establishment of a broad spectrum of functional alleles
• the use of an efficient, cost-effective technology, especially for the specific analysis of gene function in vivo
• the direct integration of modifications in traditional breeding programs

The TILLING technology will be further developed into an automated high-throughput technology. Alternative SNP detection methods for marker development will be established. The innovations are useful for breeding objectives in joint research projects.
